Baildonit - Corporate Calendar Photoshoot
Baildonit Live Studio Photoshoot
Industry Meets Fine Art
The Brief
In 2004, Baildonit – a steelworks and tool manufacturer from Silesia – asked NEXT Design to create its corporate calendar for 2005. Industrial calendars of the time typically showed products on a plain background. We proposed something far bolder: a fine-art nude photoshoot in which the client’s own products became the jewellery.
Cutting Inserts as Jewellery
The Concept
Baildonit’s sintered cutting inserts – small, precise metal components used for machining in heavy industry – were styled as rings, pendants and adornments. Set against the human form under carefully controlled studio light, the hard geometry of the tooling took on an unexpected elegance. An everyday industrial product became the centrepiece of every image, and a technical company gained a calendar that was impossible to overlook.
Concept, Photography & Calendar Design
Our Role
NEXT Design handled the complete project in-house: the creative concept, art direction, studio photoshoot and design of the calendar itself. Made in the studio’s early years, it still reflects how we work today – taking a technical product and giving it a visual story memorable enough to stay on the wall for a whole year.
